Cia. Minera El Zancudo S. A. is a privately held mining company whose focus is to acquire and develop mineralized properties in Colombia. The company is dedicated to prospecting, exploration and development of  alluvial  and "in situ" precious metal deposits. 

The company is headquartered in Envigado, an incorporated municipality located in the southern part of the Medellin metroplex, Department of Antioquia (Medellin is the historic and present-day metals mining capital of the country). The company maintains an on-site working presence with mining operations located in the municipalities of San Pablo, Simiti, and Barranco de Loba

In order to keep costs down and risks to a minimum, El Zancudo usually enters into strategic alliances and joint ventures for its projects; while using third party contractors and mining consultants on an as-needed basis.  Our operational joint ventures and strategic alliances are with a close knit group of highly qualified Colombian mining companies. Our third party contractors and consultants are all highly qualified Colombian professionals in the areas of engineering, law, and taxation.

The strategic and technical people presently behind El Zancudo are experienced professionals in the minerals industry; between them they support a total of over 50 years of in-country experience in the Colombian resource sector.
